About this package
KID’s UP is for families who want the broadest scope for their child. It brings together all sports, health and learning topics; selected drug response (pharmacogenetics) variants; and a limited section on selected cancer predisposition variants in a single report. The report is interpreted together with a parent consultation session and includes a technical summary you can pass on to your physician.
What is examined?
- Athletic tendency, recovery and injury predisposition
- Health and development: development and growth tendencies, nutritional sensitivities, vitamin–mineral tendencies, immune predisposition
- Learning tendencies: focus and learning, sleep, nutrition
- Selected variants associated with drug response
- Selected cancer predisposition variants
Important information about the cancer predisposition and drug response sections
- These sections are not clinical screening or diagnostic tests. The genes are not fully sequenced; only selected variants on the chip are examined. A negative result does not mean there is no risk.
- The microarray method can give false positive results for rare variants. Any finding that may be clinically significant requires a confirmatory test on a new sample and assessment by a physician or genetic counsellor.
- If there is a family history of cancer, consult your physician or a genetic counsellor regardless of the report.
- Do not start, stop or change any medication for your child based on drug response findings without consulting your child’s physician.
What is not examined?
- The report does not predict talent, intelligence, or academic or athletic success; it does not steer towards a particular sport and does not determine a “learning style”.
- No whole genome or whole exome sequencing is performed; diagnostic testing for inherited diseases and carrier analysis are not within the scope of this package.
- It does not measure vitamin–mineral levels or muscle fibre ratio.
How can you use the results?
You can pass the technical summary on to your child’s doctor. Review sports findings with the coach, and always review health and drug response findings with your paediatrician. Do not make decisions about dietary restrictions, supplements or medication based on the report alone.
Method and limits
The sample is analysed using the DNA microarray method in a genetic diagnostic laboratory licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Health; this method does not sequence the whole genome, it reads selected variants, and some variants are statistically estimated using a reference panel (imputation). Each finding is given a strong, moderate or limited level of evidence; details are on the Science & Safety page.
Process and what’s included in the price
- Sample: cheek swab; it takes about 5 minutes at home, with no needles or blood draw. Kids’ packages require parental consent.
- Report time: 18–21 business days after the sample reaches the laboratory.
- Included in the price: Digital report + parent consultation session + technical summary for your physician.
- Your child’s genetic data is protected as special category personal data under KVKK (Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698).
How it differs from other packages
In addition to all topics in the Genetic Potential Map, it includes selected drug response and cancer predisposition variants and a technical summary for your physician. Details are on the comparison page.
You can see the structure of the finding cards in the sample report (the sample cards are taken from the adult report).
Sample result card
Every finding in the report follows the same structure: the finding, a plain-language explanation, practical guidance, the level of evidence and the source.

The kit is delivered to your address; you take the swab yourself and send it to the laboratory using the sample return package.
The sample is genotyped with a DNA microarray in a licensed genetic diagnostic laboratory.
The findings are linked to the scientific literature, and each one is assigned an evidence level.
You receive a plain-language report (English or Turkish) with actionable guidance and an expert note.
