About this package

The Kids' Genetic Learning Map is for families who want to read their child's focus, sleep and nutrition tendencies together with their own parental observations. Some variants associated with focus and learning, as well as sleep and nutrition topics, are examined; findings are presented in plain language as a basis for talking about daily routines.

What is examined?

  • Focus and learning tendencies
  • Nutrition
  • Sleep

What is not examined?

  • The report does not measure or predict intelligence, talent, academic achievement or learning capacity.
  • It does not determine a "learning style"; it does not diagnose or label ADHD, learning difficulties or any other condition.
  • The effect of genetic associations in this area is small and the level of evidence is mostly limited or moderate; this is marked separately in the report.
  • Sports, health, cancer predisposition and drug response topics are not included in this package.

How can you use the results?

You can evaluate the findings together with your own observations on daily routine topics such as sleep patterns, screen and stimulant use, and meal patterns. If you have any concerns about attention, learning or behavior, consult your pediatrician or a child and adolescent mental health specialist.

Method and limits

The sample is analyzed using the DNA microarray method in a genetic diagnosis laboratory licensed by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye; this method does not sequence the entire genome, it reads selected variants, and some variants are statistically estimated using a reference panel (imputation). Each finding is given a strong, moderate or limited evidence level; details are on the Science & Safety page.

Process and what is included in the price

  • Sample: cheek swab; the procedure takes about 5 minutes at home, with no needles or blood draw. Kids' packages require parental consent.
  • Report time: 18–21 business days after the sample reaches the laboratory.
  • Included in the price: Digital report + parent consultation.
  • Your child's genetic data is protected as special category personal data under KVKK (Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698).

How it differs from other packages

This package covers only focus, learning, sleep and nutrition topics. To also see sports and health topics in a single report, take a look at the Genetic Potential Map. Details are on the comparison page.

You can see the structure of finding cards in the sample report (the sample cards are taken from an adult report).

Sample result card

Every finding in the report follows the same structure: the finding, a plain-language explanation, practical guidance, the level of evidence and the source.

COMT▲ Caution
Stress response
A tendency for mental recovery to take longer after demanding days.
You can try cutting back on stimulants in your evening routine and keeping a consistent bedtime.
level of evidence: Moderate · PubMed · GWAS Catalog
This is a tendency, not a definitive result.

How It Works

15 MINUTES · AT HOME
Cheek swab sample

The kit is delivered to your address; you take the swab yourself and send it to the laboratory using the sample return package.

2LICENSED LABORATORY
Genetic analysis

The sample is genotyped with a DNA microarray in a licensed genetic diagnostic laboratory.

3PUBMED · GWAS · CLINVAR
Scientific assessment

The findings are linked to the scientific literature, and each one is assigned an evidence level.

418–21 BUSINESS DAYS
Personal report and recommendations

You receive a plain-language report (English or Turkish) with actionable guidance and an expert note.

Scientific method and limitations
Genotyping is performed with an mPCR-augmented Axiom DNA microarray. A microarray does not sequence the whole genome; it reads only selected variants. Some of the reported variants are read directly on the chip, while others are statistically estimated using a reference panel (imputation); estimated genotypes are less reliable than those read directly. Findings are linked to PubMed, GWAS Catalog and ClinVar records, and each one is assigned a level of evidence.
The results do not guarantee any performance, health or success outcome. They should be evaluated together with lifestyle and clinical information.
Consultation scope
Digital report + parent consultation. In the session, your findings are explained in plain language, and recommendations are prioritized together with you to fit your daily routine. The session is scheduled via WhatsApp or online.
